Hokie Football

Today was the Gator Bowl and the Hokies had a happy ending to their season. I have to say that I love Hokie Football and I am sad to see the season end. Each year I look forward to when college football begins becuase it means orange and maroon fun for four straight months! This year we were sadly unable to visit good 'ole Blacksburg for a home game, however we did travel to NC State to see the Hokies beat the Wolfpack early on. For the rest of the games we were able to spend lots of time cheering / booing in the comforts of our friends and families homes. Usually by the time the bowl games come around, I am about done with football. This is because once the NFL starts, there games on from Thursday through Monday almost every week. Of course I don't watch all of these but I do see my fair share. However, this year I must admit I am slightly sad that the Hokies are finished. It really has been a fun year for football since we have moved to Richmond and tons of other Hokies to enjoy the games with.
So now I think about what fun comes after football season, well there's hockey my husband enjoys this, so I watch it with him every now and then. I'm not much of a basketball person, so I don't really care about that. But mostly when I think of the off season I think of spring and summer!! I can't wait till it gets warm and I can spend time hanging out outside doing fun stuff.
So way to go Tech, it was a great season....GO HOKIES!!!!
